Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a watermark to an image?
Upload your image to FileWash, type your watermark text, customize the appearance (size, opacity, color, position), then click Apply Watermark. The watermarked image is created instantly in your browser and ready to download.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. FileWash processes everything in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, making it completely safe for confidential or sensitive photos.
Can I watermark multiple images at once?
Yes. You can drop multiple images at once and they will all be watermarked with the same settings. Download them individually or use the Download All button.
What watermark positions are available?
You can place the watermark at the Center, as a Diagonal tiled pattern across the entire image, or in any corner (Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right). The diagonal tiled pattern is the most common for copyright protection.
Does watermarking reduce image quality?
The watermark is rendered on top of the original image at 92% quality (for JPEG). The original pixels are preserved — only the watermark text is added. For maximum quality, use PNG format.
