Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By using filewash.app ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The site is operated by Cassi Lup, based in Romania.

2. What the service is

The site provides free file utilities that run in your web browser. Processing happens on your own device; files are not uploaded to us. No account is required and no fee is charged. Details of data handling are in our privacy policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site:

• to process files you have no legal right to process;
• to create, alter, or distribute unlawful material, or to falsify documents;
• to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• to attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
• to remove or circumvent attribution or licensing notices in the software the site depends on.

Because processing is local to your device, you alone control and are responsible for the files you handle and what you do with the results.

4. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of output, or uninterrupted availability. File processing can fail, produce unexpected results, or be affected by your browser, device, or the file itself.

Keep your original files. Treat every output as a new copy to check before you rely on it, and never use this site as the only place a file exists — it cannot be, since we never hold your files.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for data loss, corrupted files, lost profits, or business interruption arising from use of the site. As the service is provided free of charge, total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer in the EU, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.

6. Third-party services

The site uses Cloudflare for delivery and privacy-preserving analytics, and — only if you consent — Google services for analytics and advertising. Those providers' own terms and policies govern their processing. See the privacy policy for detail.

7. Advertising

The site may display advertising to cover running costs. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks, and their presence is not an endorsement. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or of any site they lead to.

8. Intellectual property

The site's name, design, and original content belong to its operator. The site is built on open-source software, each component remaining under its own licence. You retain all rights in the files you process — we acquire no rights in them, and could not, as we never receive them.

9. The developer API

The separate API at api.filewash.app is offered on an as-is, best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee, and may be changed, rate-limited, or withdrawn at any time. Unlike this website, files sent to that API are transmitted to a server for processing.

10. Changes and availability

We may modify or discontinue the site, any tool, or these terms at any time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law, with the courts of Romania having jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
